Computer Science Educational Resources
MIT OpenCourseware Introduction to Computer Science and Programming
Video lectures, a little too advanced for my middle-schooler, but they give me a good idea of where to begin and where to progress.
Google's Python Class
A free class assuming a little bit of programming experience. The class includes video lectures, written materials and code exercises.
Computer Science Unplugged
Lots of amazing activities to teach computer science concepts without sitting in front of a computer. Absolutely brilliant, and free, resource.
Project Euler
Tons of mathematical problems you can devise computer programs to solve. Suitable for older kids and math whiz kids. And parents, if your kids don't mind if you lose yourself at the computer for hours at a time.
